From  Mayor Joe Curtatone Saturday morning

Snow and high winds are predicted for several more hours. Our DPW crews will continue to clear roadways throughout the weekend, and will plow to the curb to ensure access for all public safety vehicles. Due to poor visibility created by high winds and snow drifts, we urge all residents, especially small children, to stay off the roads until further notice. We will continue to provide updates as necessary, and you can also visit the City’s Facebook page and Twitter feeds, or call 311 with any non-emergency questions. Thank you for your continued assistance as we work to make our city safe and accessible.

Well the people have survived another whack from Mother Nature. People lost their freedom to be outside and drive their vehicles. Some felt the worry of the unknown, would anything dangerous happen. The T.V. media did their “The Sky is Falling” routine, etc.

Today the people were able to get out, shovel out, and drive their cars.
As we all now enjoy being “free”. Take time to remember our brave men & women in the military, who put their lives on the line so we can enjoy our freedom….God Bless our Service men & women.

I agree with the Gov for closing the roads, however he should have extended it 1 more day so the crews could remove snow.

I see some joggers going by on the sidewalk and I have seen the suicide idiot joggers out on the street. I say if a car slides into one of them it is the joggers fault for being so outright stupid endangering others lives by the idiot act of jogging on the narrow snow clogged street. Just think, years back, for lack of a rubber, we now have to put up with them today.
