Looks like the Curtatone machine was able to the get another Curtatone on board. I’ll be the one to tell you “I told you so” when problems arise.
Congratulations to Rep. Provost and Attorney Curtatone! I like Denise Provost and wish her well, and I hope Mr. Kartiikere stays involved in some way.
However, that the Ms. Curtatone lost by over 1400 votes in her hometown (where her brother is mayor) and only won by a little over 1200 votes in the rest of the county, that doesn’t speak too highly about her brother’s ability to get out the vote in his own city. I think that fact hurts him in the future if he ever tries to run for anything higher.
At least the good people of Somerville voted properly on this one.
I don’t know…You put Lego Joe, his developer pals & Maria in charge at Registry…Sounds more like a “Boss Hogg” type plan of government…lol
Billy Tauro, Stop deleting my posts How did maria win when maryann received more votes
To : j. connelly,
Boss hog wasnt involved with this race helping Maria. He was actully stuck on Maryann’s campaign in the beginning and then traded in for Mark Longhorn to face of with Mr. Billy T who was running Maria’s campaign and looks like Mr. T won! To be honest, it looks like Mr. T took on five or six mayors (including our own Joey Cakes), 4 State Reps, 2 Senators, 8 Aldermen, 3 or 4 Steel Workers Unions, 5 other register of probate candidates, all of Longhorns sherriffs and just about 95% of Somerville employees who were forced to back Maryann and quess what? Mr. T prevailed and carried Maria across the finish line with ease! Wow, now that takes balls! Good work Mr. T
Congratulations to Maria and all her workers on the victory so hard fought, but also congratulations to Maryann for a hard fought race. The News was right as long as one of them won, and they both from Somerville is great news.
fyi: Michele, wake up sweetie the votes are counted and Maria won, get the latest results and you’d see that, and wouldn’t be so stupid to post such a stupid comment, good luck with med’s
Why would a lawyer who can make more money in that career want to run for political office….Ah~! “Think of the Possibilities!
Checked the Secy of States site. Why is it that still on the 8th of Sept. there is NO OFFICIAL report on the Register of Deeds S./Middlesex.
Are they waiting for the absentee ballots?
Recount!
“Why would a lawyer who can make more money in that career want to run for political office”
Connelly, the answer is simple: out of love for helping the public.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAH!
Michelle, no one deleted your post. You asked the question on the other story about the results. Maria won because she got more votes across the county/district than Maryann did. Somerville was not the only place voting on Registrar of Deeds.
Michelle, wake up smell the coffee …
Where’s that “LOVE helping the public” been for the last 20 years?????
Must have been Hidden Love as there wasnt much publicly said about it.
“Ray” you got one of them hack jobs or lookin for a new position in county service??????
‘PIIIDYS” – (Not to be confused with P Diddy)…..Evidently your talkin bout a different “Boss Hogg”
Clean Gene, Joey Cake’s & Maryann, sniff sniffle. Three down how many more to go?????
Since Brune endorsed Heuston, think there are any R of D employees about to be unemployed?
j. connelly, I don’t see any September 6 primary election results on the Secretary of State’s website at all, for any race. I think they’re waiting for the results to become official.
Thank you all for the kind words but it was a team effort of all of Maria’s supporters pulling together as a team, but it’s just to bad that the race was between two very good friends of mine. I value Maryann’s friendship which now I may have sadly lost. But in a recent email from my friend Alderman Bill Roche, he gave me some good comforting words of encouragement that ” Maryann is a professional and she will come around!” Hopefully that will happen!
“Ron” You are correct, I do not know what the glitch is, maybe the Secy of State is waiting for the count of Absentee Ballots and some of the smaller towns had not given all of their precincts. Modern Technology isnt really perfect. The other paper gave the impression that Maryanne Heuston had given it up…but you never know…look at that recent national story where a deceased lady was elected to office.
Well “T” you got to work in the direction that aids that multi year towing contract….”she will come around”..et tu brute a deal will be offered as the numbers werent a whole lot apart and if Maryanne was wise she would/should go for a recount.
